Mumbai Airport to Vashi by Train

Mumbai’s Harbour Line has been extended to serve the city Navi Mumbai and Vashi is undoubtedly the most important station on the line. However. Reaching Vashi from the Mumbai is a tedious exercise to say the least. First of all the traveler has to get to the nearest railway station to the Mumbai airport. That would be Andheri, Ville Parle or the Santa Cruz railway station depending on whether you are travelling from the International transit airport or the domestic transit facility.  Modes of transport are either autorickshaw or the taxi. Then you have to get on a local train to the Wadala Road suburban railway station which is a junction connecting some of the Central line stations (Andheri, Ville Parle, Santa Cruz, Khar and Bandra) with the Harbour railway line. From the Wadala Road railway station the traveler can get on a local train to Vashi.

The traveler can also take a local train to the Dadar railway station, then to Kurla junction and from there a local train to Vashi. One needn’t be a rocket scientist to know that it is a tad too difficult to travel from Mumbai Airport to Vashi by train. The whole process is time consuming as well as genuinely difficult considering the luggage factor and the maddening crowd in trains (it isn’t that bad though if you are travelling alone with not much of luggage).
