    To Indian Railways
I am T.R.Jayaraman, aged 58 yrs, s/o. S.Rajarethinam, 1/599-Nehru College Road, Malumachampatti, Coimbatore-641021. I wish to thank Southern Railway for giving concesson tickets for Cancer patients like me and it is very very useful and helpful for me. I am taking treatment in Roy Memorial Cancer Hospital, Tenampet, Chennai for that i was using your concession ticket from april 2010 by giving Hodpital Medical Certificate at Poddanur Reservation Counter from the beginning because it is very nearby to my place and rush also is less than Coimbatore Railway Reservation Counter.
As regular myself and my son went to poddanur reservation counter yesterday i.e. saturday 31-07-2010 for travelling to chennai on 9th Aug. 2010. The Staff of that counter refused to reserve the tickets and returned the forms. I have asked them that they have told me now they have a receveid a circular dont’ issue the concession ticket and send the persons to Coimbatore Main Station or Chennai to book the ticket. I have shocked.
I think Southern railway has given permission to book any ticket anywhere reservation counter with cash or with proper concession forms. I want to confirm whether this type of circular sent to podanur station? because while getting reservation ticket for travelled on 5-7-10 and return journey on 8-7-10 they was informed the same and i explained my position and got the ticket when i was travelled during the last trip.
Now they din’t hear any thing and ask me to go Coimbatore or Chennai Reservation Office Counters. It is not the correctway to giving further more troubles and mental torture like me the patients. Please look into this mater very seriously and inform me whether that type of circular is sent to poddanur reservation counter? Or the staff of the poddanur reservation counter herself telling like this? I am not leaving this matter with this. I will definetely taking action through our MP to Railway Minister because The railway ministry giving the concession to cancer patients and who is she to refuse to issue the concession ticket?
    Thanking you,
    T.R.Jayaraman

I am a regular Passenger between Ernakulam and Trichur( ID No:CD7Z9H21H21H2)
    (1) Complaint regarding Stopping of Passenger Trains at Ernakulam Town Station- Suggestion
It is regretted to note that the Up Trains to Shornur and Guruvayoor and other trains with lesser number of compartments usually stops with the back compartment of the Train at about quarter distance away from the main entry at Ernakulam Town railway station. It is a usual sight that some passengers with luggages and children run behind the train fall down in the rush and how ever manage .
It is suggested that directions may be given to the concerned to stop the train in the stations so that the back boggy at least halts in front of the Main entry.
    (2) Complaint regarding Late running of Ernakulam –Guruvayoor 8.15 PM Passenger Train
On 20-2-2011 Sunday This train was stared only at 8.30 from EKM South and held at Kalamassery, Alwaye,Chalakkudy stations for about 15 minutes and more, for unknown reasons, then at Irinjalakkuda for 20minutes for passing of 2 nos Express Trains behind this and reached at Puthukad station only aafter 11 Pm instead of 9.35 PM ( Sheduled time)
    (3) Complaint regarding delaying of trains due to running of Janasathabthy – Suggestion
After the introduction of Kozhikkode Janasathabthi Express almost all the trains along the way are disturbed and thousands of daily passengers to various offices and lively hood jobs get delayed .
New trains are always welcome . But that may not be disturbing other trains and thousands of other passengers.
My humble suggestion is that – till the commissioning of an additional rail along the existing route
The Janasathabthy may be kept in abeyance or Traffic system managed efficiently. Now a days ineffient management and improper co-ordination with various sections of railway department are noticed.
    (4) Suggestion for improving Security system in trains
It is is noted that beggers, Ticket less travelers , un authorized sellers and anti-social elements in trains are on the increase due to the inactiveness from the concerned .This may be due to the insufficient number of protective personnel.
My humble suggestion is that at least 5 to 10 security men in each train per division may be arranged on contract basis from any authorized EX –Servicemen or Ex Military with a lesser Financial commitment as done in the Traffic duty in Police Department.

I am a weekly traveller in train from Trivandrum to Ernakulam. I have noticed that there were no TTR to check the tickets of the passenger so that people were misusing the same. 2 weeks ago I have submitted a complaint in the Trivandrum central railway station, the station master took it positively. But yesterday When I gave the complaint in the same railway station the concerned people (whole team in the room had changed including the station master) started discouraging me by asking questions like why you are bothered ? You dont want to go home ? etc.

The Trivandrum railway divisional manager should take this seriously and take action in both the cases.

    1. TTR should check the tickets in all the reserved/unreserved compartments.

    2. The railway management should respect the passengers when approaching them for genuine reasons.
