Ranchi New Delhi Ranchi Rajdhani express train

Rajdhani Express trains were introduced in the year 1969 for providing high-speed connections up to 140 kilometers speed from New Delhi to the various state capital cities of India. The speed varies depending upon the particular track section. This class of train has very limited stoppages along its journey. This also was the first group of trains with all its coaches being air-conditioned. These trains get the highest priority on the Indian railway network.

Passengers are served complimentary meals during the journey. Depending on the duration and timings of the journey, these could include lunch, evening tea with snacks, dinner, morning tea and breakfast.

The Ranchi New Delhi Ranchi Section of the Indian Railways is catered by two sets of Rajdhani trains.

Train numbers 12439 & 12440 halts at Bokaro Steel City, Koderma, Gaya Junction, Dehri On Sone, Mughal Sarai, and Kanpur on both sides of its journey.

Train numbers 12453 & 12454 halts at Daltaonganj, Garwa Road, Mughal Sarai and Kanpur on both sides of its journey.

Gonda Hill and Rock Garden is situated at a distance of about 5 kilometers from Ranchi Station on Ranchi Kanke Road. Rock garden is carved out of the rocks of Gonda Hill. At the base of the Hill is Kanke dam. The Rock Garden is a picturesque picnic spot. Tagore Hill is an important tourist spot. The elder brother of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore has built a house named as Shantidham on the hill. At the bottom of the hill is Ramakrishna Mission Ashram. McCluskigunj is famous for European style bungalows and a tribal museum. Tribal Research Institute and Museum is Located in Morhabadi. It shows tribal culture of Chotanagpur plateau. Muta Crocodile breeding centre is situated at a distance of 23 km from Ranchi on Ranchi Ramgarh Road near Ormanjhi. There are around 50 crocodiles in this center.
